At the end of the day, they’re your lights and you can do what you want, but we don’t recommend it! The plastic materials of holiday lighting is not made to be left up year round, and you will get significantly less run time out of your display than if you take them down seasonally. Washington summers have a lot of sunshine and excessive UV causes the plastic of sockets and clips to get brittle and break. We’ve had some seasonal holiday lighting displays run for nine winters! You can expect to only get 2-3 years out of a display if left up year round.

Each display we create is custom fit to a specific home or business. As a business, we can’t re-sell materials once they are used and, even if we could, we would not want to go through the hassle of frankensteining a display custom fit to a different building to another. For the customer, though it is a bit more money on the front end to purchase the materials for the display, in the long run, it saves them more money.

Our year 2+ costs are significantly lower than other companies with the rent or lease option. Also, by the customer owning the lights, they have a choice to stay with us each year or not. At the end of the day, we hope that folks are happy with our services and choose to stick with us for many years.

Most folks who hang seasonal holiday lighting are window washers, roof cleaners, landscapers, or something else first. We are a lighting company. We hang lights. We’ve been doing it for over a decade.

For seasonal holiday lighting, you can expect to spend $4 per linear foot on materials and $100 per man-hour for labor.

For Jellyfish Lighting, you can expect to spend anywhere from $25-$30 per linear foot depending on the complexity and installation method of the installation. This includes the materials and installation labor.

We fix it! If lines blow down or bulbs go out, we will be by to fix any issues free of additional charges for the duration of the display’s lifespan (typically 5-7 years depending on usage).
